The New Testament is a collection of twenty-seven books. All of the books come from the first followers of Jesus. Some of the books take only a few minutes to read. But before you read the books in the New Testament, it helps to know what each book is about.

Here are a few words to help you to read the New Testament book of Colossians. Colossians is one of the books that Paul wrote. Paul was a leader in the early *church. He wrote many letters to help encourage the people of God. Paul wrote more letters than any other of the New Testament writers. The New Testament includes thirteen of those letters.

Some of the Colossians did not understand what to believe. Paul writes this letter to make it clear to them. Paul warns them against wrong beliefs. Colossians tells how faith in Christ is complete. Christ created all things. He did all that was needed to save them. No one can add to what Christ did.
