Here are a few words to help you to read the New Testament book of 2 Timothy. 2 Timothy is one of the books that Paul wrote. Paul was a leader in the early *church. He wrote many letters to help encourage the people of God. Paul wrote more letters than any other of the New Testament writers. The New Testament includes thirteen of those letters.[

2 Timothy
Paul wrote this letter from prison in Rome. He knew that he would die soon. This letter sends his final words to his young helper. Timothy was like a son to Paul. He wants to encourage him. But he also tells him that there may be trouble is coming days. Timothy must be strong. He need not fear for God will give him help. This is one of Paul’s most personal letters.
