The New Testament is a collection of twenty-seven books. All of the books come from the first followers of Jesus. Some of the books take only a few minutes to read. But before you read the books in the New Testament, it helps to know what each book is about.

Here are a few words to help you to read the New Testament book of 1 Corinthians. 1 Corinthians is one of the books that Paul wrote. The book of Acts tells the story of how Paul came to know Jesus. He soon became a leader in the early church. Paul wrote many letters to help teach and encourage the people of God. The New Testament includes thirteen of those letters.

Gospel: A book about the good news. The message that Jesus came to save us from the results of *sin. One of the four books at the beginning of the New Testament.
Sin: Evil deeds. When we do things against God and other people. When we do not obey God’s rules.
